Christmas in Savannah at the historic Presidents’ Quarters Inn on Oglethorpe Square

SAVANNAH Georgia (October 29, 2013) — It is a special honor for our top-tier Savannah bed and breakfast to be voted “Best Savannah B&B / Inn” again in 2013 by the readers of Savannah Magazine.

We feel like the belle of the ball — “The toast of the town”, and the tops among Savannah inns since 2008 — just as we had hoped in 2007!

Through two B&B videos and top-tier lodging services in the historic district, this elegant historic inn (circa 1855) brings Savannah to life for thousands every year.  Executive innkeeper Jane Sales and the inn’s devoted staff thrive on the opportunities to host travelers who seek out the über local Savannah experience … the city trips that ferret out what is exceptional, enjoyable, and inspiring.

May you be poor in misfortune this Christmas
and rich in blessings
slow to make enemies
quick to make friends
and rich or poor, slow or quick,
as happy as the New Year is long.

Steeped in Noble #Savannah Heritage: Presidents’ Quarters Inn

SAVANNAH Georgia (June 2013) — Built in 1855, the twin noble mansions of modern-day Presidents’ Quarters Inn survived the American Civil War (1861-1865).  Located overlooking Oglethorpe Square, the historic townhomes are steeped in Savannah heritage.

PRESIDENTS’ QUARTERS INN. LUXURY WITH A LINEAGE.

Here we introduce a prominent Civil War general, famous Savannahian and Ambassador to Austria.  He is a heroic link to the American Civil War, commemorating the 150th Anniversary during the Civil War Sesquicentennial (2011-2015).

This story connects Presidents’ Quarters Inn, a noble bed and breakfast inn with a rich southern heritage in Savannah, Georgia USA to a prominent possessor — Alexander R. Lawton — and more famous Savannah places.

Kids love the horses and pedicabs, fun breakfast in the courtyard at Presidents’ Quarters Inn and spotting tug boats, playing on the beach, doing art (not just seeing it), live music, and dolphins at play!

SAVANNAH Georgia (May 25, 2013) — Scratching your heads about what do with the kids in summer 2013? Roadtrip!

Located on the USA east coast, the family-friendly Presidents’ Quarters Inn shares some summer events in Savannah and happenings nearby.

Savannah’s got what kids love! — fireworks, ice cream, pedicabs, puppet shows, horses, summer movies, candy shops, live music, a sandy beach (only 20 minutes, driving east), interactive art and water spray pools, and dolphin cruises.  Nearby waters are great spots for ecology trips, kayaking, and paddle surfing.

Telfair Museums — Owens-Thomas House, Jepson Center, and Telfair Academy of Art — offer free admission to military families — Memorial Day through Labor Day (September 2, 2013). “Free admission is offered as part of the Telfair’s partnership with the Blue Star Museums program, which offers military families the chance to visit museums across the country free of charge this summer” states the release:

Turn your youngster loose with a digital camera to record their own memories.  We put odds on lots of dog pictures, plus people playing in Forsyth Park where there’s a playground, tennis courts, lots of runners, interactive spray pool, and organic eatery nearby. Farmer’s Market is on Saturdays, beginning at 9 a.m.
