Celebrate summer in America’s Most Mannerly City with equal parts modern adventure, and the allure of the lively, spirited Old South.

SAVANNAH GACool and cultured trumps hot and humid any day. Sure, Savannah — named in 2009 the nation’s “Most Mannerly City” — features some fine Southern weather in the summer but offsetting the near-tropical climate is this historic city’s cool, cultured vibe.  In Savannah, travelers discover a city that marketing executive Sandy Traub first described as “hip and historic” in 2004.  VisitSavannah.com says that Savannah is “more friendly than formal”.

Presidents’ Quarters Inn Releases New Bed and Breakfast Video

SAVANNAH Georgia (May 12, 2011) —  The award-winning Presidents’ Quarters Inn in the downtown Landmark Savannah Historic District releases its new bed and breakfast video.

Bed and Breakfast video Savannah bed and breakfast inn - Presidents' Quarters Inn Savannah GA historic district

Presidents' Quarters Inn | Video Released

“BRILLIANT” and “Love it!” are among the first video reviews.  The soundtrack producer wrote, “Very nicely done!  The music and video were made for each other, I believe. This makes me want to bring the family to Georgia, tomorrow.”

The central storyline — to get closer to the Savannah experience — gives the undecided traveler rich, visual enticements and the executive innkeeper’s personal invitation to a more memorable, hyper-local Savannah experience. Jane Sales, executive innkeeper and former owner of two luxury Savannah GA inns,  narrates the up-close-and-personal introduction, extending her personal invitation to “Come to Savannah and Presidents’ Quarters Inn“.

Depicting Spring tourism in Savannah 2011, the high-definition video short (2.27 minutes) delivers a gentle, enticing introduction to what is wonderfully “Savannah today” and historically subtle from the vantage point of the top-tier bed and breakfast inn.

Giving a sense of place in Savannah’s lush landscapes and aristocratic neighborhood, viewers see the historic inn nestled amid other in-city town homes, its prime park-side location on Oglethorpe Square, and its world-famous neighbor — Telfair’s Owens-Thomas House museum, where American Revolutionary General Marquis de Lafayette spoke to the citizens of Savannah from the President Street balcony.

The travel video pulls into play gently the inn’s marketing campaigns — “Get Closer to the Savannah Experience” (TM) and “This is Savannah” (TM) — to exemplify the timeless good taste and simpler, nobler lifestyles awaiting at the inn — voted BEST SAVANNAH INN / B&B for three consecuitive years.   It brings to the forefront more of the all inclusive amenities that are bundled into one enticing B&B rate at the stately mini-hotel in downtown Savannah (ca. 1855; 16 overly spacious rooms and private baths).

“One goal was to showcase real life tourism,” states Sandy Traub, the inn’s marketing consultant. “As much a practical, this travel video captures the natural flow of Savannah tourism within the inn’s Oglethorpe Square neighborhood and inside the inn. For example, when filming the brandy decanter, guests were moving about in background, visiting and enjoying their afternoon hors d’oeuvres and wine.”

The video captures not only the inn’s charming surrounds, but weaves a beautiful tapestry to highlight the popularity of the world-famous Landmark Savannah Historic District.  “The quiet oasis of Presidents’ Quarters Inn delivers a wonderfully private lodging spot, just stately enough with comfortable surrounds, and southern-friendly services that epitomize Savannah’s Hostess City of the South‘s reputation.  Guests welcome the surprise of arriving in the heart of the busy historic district to the inn’s quiet, residential compound, complete with private parking.  Literally out the courtyard gate, it’s a 2 or 3 minute walk to bustling Broughton Street, historic theatres, museums, and local cafes, and famous restaurants.”

Presidents’ Quarters Inn’s travel video (May 2011) is the first in a series to be released. Initial filming was completed in April 2011 by Popcorn Octane LLC based in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.  The custom video project is the latest collaboration between Guy Smith, an alumnus of Savannah College of Art and Design, and integrated marketing advisor Sandy Traub, a lifelong Savannah, Georgia resident.

“The timing is always perfect to visit beautiful Savannah,” encourages JaneSales. “Come visit us soon!”

THE CONSPIRATOR MOVIE TURNS CAMERAS ON SAVANNAH, TOO.

Since April 2011, movie goers see a Broadway-style tease to get closer to the Savannah experience! (TM).  In Robert Redford’s timely historical movie, The Conspirator, you will see the interiors of  Owens-Thomas House museum (located on Oglethorpe Square), more of Savannah’s most notable architecture, and the scenic city landscapes.  The timing is perfect!  The America Civil War Sesquecentennial is now being commemorated — 2011-2015.
