Savannah Book Festival, February 5-7, 2010

We are really looking forward to the first weekend in Febuary and the third annual Savannah Book Festival. It’s amazing that this new festival is already one of the top five in the nation.  The festival has a host of bestselling authors from New York Times best selling authors,Vince Flynn and Julia Reed, to local authors who have just published their first book.

It’s free! Bring your friends and join us at Presidents’ Quarters Inn for the special rate of $169/night.   We are just two squares east of Telfair Square where the event is being held.  For those of you not familar with Savannah, that’s about a five minute walk.

It’s well worth the trip and you’ll still have time for shopping and sightseeing.

Savannah on Sale in Winter!

We thought you might be interested in knowing what guests are saying about coming to Savannah in winter — The city is beautiful anytime of the year but on a cold but sunny day, with leafless trees, the architecture of the old homes just jumps out a grabs you! Many of our guests, after filling up on Anna’s stuffed french toast of Shelly’s baked eggs with spinach and parmesan cheese, are heading out to walk the squares and admire the details of the historic district minus all the lush greenary. Don’t get me wrong, Savannah is pretty anytime of the year but in her winter gear, she is dressed down and very approachable. So are a great rates for January and early February.

Come see us!
